CIGRE brengt het netwerk weer bijeen

Op 30 september organiseert CIGRE B5 haar themadag als live event bij Bar Beton in Utrecht. Als bestuur zijn we blij dat we onze events weer kunnen opstarten. Juist waar het gaat om kennis-uitwisseling én ontmoeten, waar ook nuances en signalen in gesprekken belangrijk zijn, hechten wij grote waarde aan het bijeen brengen van ons netwerk. Op gepaste afstand. Uiteraard houden wij rekening met de RIVM-maatregelen.

We zien er dan ook naar uit om op 30 september elkaar weer te kunnen begroeten! Het event is van 13:00 – 18:00 uur, uiteraard met vooraf én daarna inlooplunch, netwerkborrel en dinerbuffet. Klik op de link voor het programma en inschrijving.

Update CIGRE Session 2020 & Centennial Session 2021

Beste CIGRE-anen van Nederland, geachte (bedrijfs)leden,

We leven met elkaar in een bijzondere tijd, waarin van ons allemaal groot aanpassingsvermogen wordt gevraagd. In ons werk, voor onze bedrijven, in het organiseren van bijeenkomsten en events. Maar ook thuis, om zaken georganiseerd te krijgen, en met de zorg voor mensen om ons heen, vergt dit energie en was het zoeken naar een nieuwe balans.

Vanwege dit bijzondere tijdsgewricht willen we je met deze brief informeren over een 3-tal zaken:

1) de berichtgeving over CIGRE Session 2020;
2) onze nationale events;
3) een doorkijkje naar de rest van 2020.

Echter, allereest willen wij als bestuur van CIGRE Nederland onze trots uitspreken over de vele initiatieven en creativiteit die wij bij velen van jullie hebben gezien. Dit om activiteiten als studiecomités en werkgroep-overleggen doorgang te laten vinden. Het is ontegenzeggelijk knap op welke wijze en met welke snelheid is doorgeschakeld naar werken op afstand en digitaal overleg. Soms nog onwennig, maar al snel aangepast aan het ‘nieuwe normaal’. Hartelijk dank daarvoor aan eenieder!  

Centennial Session wordt de 48e volledige sessie van CIGRE
Op 17 april heeft CIGRE aangekondigd haar kenmerkende evenement in Parijs in 2020 te transformeren in een digitale e-session in 2020. CIGRE, opgericht in 1921, viert in 2021 zijn 100ste verjaardag met dit Centennial-feest in augustus in Palais des Congrès in Parijs, Frankrijk. De Centennial Session wordt de 48e volledige sessie van CIGRE en zal alle gebruikelijke elementen bevatten zoals: evenementen, kennisuitwisseling, postersessies en de wereldwijde industrie expositie. In het bijzonder zal aandacht worden besteed aan ons honderdjarig bestaan.

e-session essentiële kennisbron in 2020
In een tijd waarin professionals toegang nodig hebben tot de nieuwste ideeën van onze wereldwijde gemeenschap, beschouwd CIGRE de aangekondigde e-session als essentieel. De CIGRE e-session wordt gehouden met behulp van de CIGRE Academy webinar-technologie en duurt negen dagen van maandag 24 augustus tot en met donderdag 3 september 2020. Dit bijzondere evenement biedt een schat aan expertise op het gebied van energiesystemen, digitaal gedeeld vanuit de hele wereld CIGRE-gemeenschap.  

Het evenement wordt geopend door de huidige president Rob Stephen. Rob vertelt ons over de vooruitgang die CIGRE maakt in het wereldwijde energiesysteem. Dit zal worden gevolgd door Anne Olhoffs keynote ‘Emissions gap report 2019′. Anne is hoofd Strategie, Klimaatplanning en -beleid bij UNEP DTU Partnership. De openingsceremonie wordt vervolgens afgesloten met de CIGRE’s 2020-presentaties. Dit wordt gevolgd door bijna twee weken aan webinar presentaties, tutorials en workshops waar afgevaardigden uit kunnen kiezen. Deze worden geleverd via vier parallelle webinar-kanalen. Je hoeft dus niets te missen!

FAQ over CIGRE Session 2020
Door de steeds tijdige informatie vanuit CIGRE, hebben wij je tot nu toe via de nieuwsrubriek op onze nieuwe website steeds tijdig kunnen informeren. Dit zullen we in de komende periode ook blijven doen. Om te voorkomen dat er meerdere informatiestromen ontstaan, zullen wij zoveel als mogelijk directe verwijzingen plaatsen naar de broninformatie op de CIGRE Internationaal website.

Speciaal voor informatie rondom de e-session 2020 en de Sentenial Session 2021, zoals het programma, jouw inschrijving dit jaar en de inschrijfdatum voor beide Sessions 2020/2021, is een speciale FAQ gepubliceerd op de CIGRE Internationaal website.

Hollandse Avond 2021
Het is inmiddels een traditie dat de energiesector van Nederland elkaar in Parijs ontmoet. Ook de Hollandse Avond zal in 2021 traditiegetrouw plaatsvinden. De reeds gedane voorbereidingen worden voortgezet en naar inzicht van de actualiteit verder vormgegeven. Het programma zal er wellicht anders uit gaan zien, echter wij werken er met betrokkenen aan om er wederom een memorabele avond van te maken!

Events 2020/2021
Ook voor 2020 heeft het Nationaal Comité in overleg met verschillende studiecomités in het najaar een interessant eventprogramma staan en voor 2021 staan de nieuwe ideeën al in de steigers. Waar CIGRE Internationaal de richtlijnen van de WHO en de Franse overheid volgt, heeft Stichting CIGRE Nederland zich steeds geconformeerd aan de richtlijnen van het RIVM. Dit beleid is ook via CIGRE.nl gepubliceerd. Vanwege dit beleid is de Workshop CIGRE SC C2 & IEEE Benelux PES uitgesteld en is de Themadag B5 verplaatst naar woensdag 30 september.

Naast de reguliere themadagen wordt gewerkt aan de themadagen die zijn gewijd aan de Energietransitie. Deze events met de 3 hoofdpunten: ‘Black-out’, ‘System of Systems’ en ‘Grid of the Future’ staan in concept gepland voor 2020 / 2021. Volg hiervoor onze website of LinkedIn-pagina.

Doorkijk voor de rest van 2020
Met de verdere versoepeling van de maatregelen, zoals aangekondigd door het Kabinet op 19 mei jongstleden, begint het ‘nieuwe normaal’ in Nederland steeds meer vorm en inhoud te krijgen. Als bestuur zijn we blij dat er perspectief wordt geboden, om binnen afzienbare tijd elkaar ook weer persoonlijk te kunnen begroeten, al zullen we hiervoor in grotere kring nog geduld in moeten betrachten. Tegelijkertijd heerst ook bij ons het besef, dat de afgelopen tijd ook zorgen met zich mee heeft gebracht en gaan onze gedachten uit naar degenen die getroffen zijn door deze dodelijke Covid-19-pandemie.

Achter de schermen vinden de voorbereidingen voor de events gewoon doorgang. Dit geldt voor de events van 2020 alsook voor 2021. Daarbij blijven we in goed contact om te bezien welke maatregelen gepast zijn naar aanleiding van verdere ontwikkelingen. We raden je aan onze website in de gaten te houden voor actuele informatie en het laatste nieuws.

Het werken in deze bijzondere tijd vergt bij tijd en wijle van ons allen een bijzondere inspanning. We bedanken dan ook allen die ondanks de omstandigheden hun schouders blijven zetten onder het mooie werk dat ons met CIGRE verbindt. Maar ook breder, in het vormgeven aan de energietransitie en de oplossingen die dit in techniek en systeemintegratie van ons vraagt. 

Ook in de komende tijd kun je op ons als NNC en dagelijks bestuur een beroep blijven doen om bijvoorbeeld te sparren over dilemma’s die deze tijd brengt, de organisatie van een event in aangepaste stijl of ondersteuning van een stuur- of werkgroep bij vraagstukken over digitaal samenwerken. Deze tijd vraagt om creativiteit, wederzijdse hulp en gebundelde energie en aandacht.

Wij wensen je en jouw naasten en collega’s een blijvend goede gezondheid toe.

CIGRE Session 2020 & Centennial Session 2021

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic CIGRE has postponed its 2020 signature Paris event to 2021. In the interim a unique digital e-session will run in 2020. To follow is a set of questions and answers to bring clarity to our community and supporters. It outlines how it all works and the unique opportunity to participate in both events for one cost.

CIGRE will use online technology to run the 2020 e-session. How will this work?
The CIGRE e-session will be delivered using the CIGRE Academy webinar technology and run over nine days from Monday 24 August, to Thursday 3 September, 2020. View More

When and where will the detailed programme appear for the 2020 e-session?
A provisional programme will be released as soon as possible and followed by the finalised programme in mid-May. These will be available on session.cigre.org. Communications via CIGRE’s newsletters and social channels will announce the release.

What are the dates for the 2021 Centennial Session?
The 2021 Centennial Session will start on the Friday August 20th (instead of the usual Monday), and will end on Wednesday August 25th. The Technical Exhibition will take place from Saturday August 21st to Wednesday August 25th.

What will be the format of 2021 Centennial Session?
The Centennial Session will be CIGRE’s 48th full Session and it will have all of the usual compelling events, knowledge sharing, celebrations and our world leading industry exhibition. It will bring a particular focus on our centennial celebration and explore aspects of our renowned history. View More

What about the 2022 Session – will that go ahead as scheduled?
Yes, the 2022 Session will proceed as scheduled. CIGRE considered swapping to odd years from 2021 on. However there were many practical reasons why this was not possible, ranging from venue logistics, availability and contracts; competing events; and our own technical two year cycle. View More

Centennial Session and e-session announced

CIGRE announces a reorganisation of its 2020 signature Paris event into a digital e-session in 2020. Our planned in person August 2020 event offering ’the leading global event for sharing power system expertise’ is now scheduled for August 2021 as a special Centennial Session, with similar format as previous Sessions (e.g., plenaries, tutorials, poster sessions, technical exhibition).

Update CIGRE Session 2020 – Covid-19

Considering the situation of the pandemic of Covid-19, CIGRE wishes to inform its delegates and exhibitors, of the followings:

  • CIGRE maintains its 48th Session in the Palais des Congrès de Paris, as planned from August 23rd to 28th, 2020.
  • The cancellation of the event is not an option.
  • The postponement of the Session to a later date could be decided by CIGRE taking into account the progress of curtailment of Covid-19 globally.
  • Should the Session be postponed, the availability of the venue on a full week is guaranteed under the same terms and conditions (location, rates, period…).

Coronavirus- beleid Stichting CIGRE Nederland

Het coronavirus (COVID-19) houdt iedereen bezig. Ook bij Stichting CIGRE Nederland nemen we dit serieus en wij hebben besloten ons te conformeren aan de richtlijnen van het RIVM.

CIGRE Internationaal volgt de richtlijnen van de WHO en de Franse overheid en raadt bestuursleden, studie comité leden, werkgroepen en adviesgroepen aan het volgende document te lezen: ‘Coronavirus – Guidelines and good practices’

Het deelnemen aan CIGRE activiteiten is natuurlijk een persoonlijke beslissing van onze leden. Wij raden iedereen aan informatie op te vragen bij zijn werkgevers, overheden en gezondheidsinstanties om op het juiste moment weloverwogen beslissingen te nemen.

Postponed Workshop CIGRE SC C2 & IEEE Benelux PES

The health and safety of workshop participants and organizers is our top priority! Taking into account the COVID-19 related health and safety regulations issued by the Dutch government, we have decided to postpone the IEEE PES Benelux/CIGRE SC C2 workshop on WAMS that was scheduled for 18 May 2020.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation. A new date for the workshop, together with a valid registration link, will be communicated as soon as more information about guidelines from the relevant authorities becomes available.

On behalf of Stichting CIGRE Nederland we would like to invite you to the joint CIGRE SC C2 & IEEE Benelux PES workshop on wide area measurement systems (WAMS) on May 18th, TenneT, Arnhem.

The energy transition can only be successful if the power system remains secure, stable, and affordable. Against the backdrop of the digital revolution and the increased installed capacity of power electronic interfaced generation, system operators are working on innovative solutions to keep the power system within its operational boundary conditions. Wide area measurement systems are a key enabler for advanced data acquisition, control and protection. In this workshop the current state-of-the-art in WAMS as well as the innovation challenges for the coming years will be discussed by experts from transmission system operators and universities.

The decision to attend this event is, of course, a personal decision by our members. All should seek information from their respective employers, governmental and health authorities in order to make informed decisions at the appropriate time.

My CIGRE Journey – Susana Almeida de Graaff

Beveiliging! Altijd en Overal
De energietransitie stelt andere eisen aan het beveiligen van het elektriciteitsnet. Door de toename van wind- en zonneparken ontstaat er meer fluctuatie in de productie van energie en is de energierichting minder voorspelbaar. Wat is de impact hiervan op onze besturings- en beveiligingssystemen? Op woensdag 30 september staat tijdens de CIGRE B5 Themadag in Woerden, deze vraag centraal.

Uitdagingen
Beveiligen van het elektriciteitsnet vraagt iets van de (netwerk) bedrijven en de technici werkzaam binnen de sector. Zij krijgen te maken met uitdagingen als andere beveiligingsconcepten, vermogensonbalans, lage kortsluitingvermogens, besturen, ontwerpen, installeren en onderhouden. In verschillende workshops behandelen we op interactieve wijze deze uitdagingen:

  • Snel zon en wind aansluiten via N-0 lijnaftakkingen
  • Beveiligen zonder kortsluitstroom, kan dat?
  • Frequentie-beveiliging t.b.v. automatische belastingafschakeling als herstelactie bij vermogensonbalans
  • Distantie beveiliging eenvoudig en zeker, ook in de toekomst?

Kom 30 september kennis brengen en halen, kom netwerken en luisteren naar boeiende sprekers als Marjan Popov van de TU Delft over het MIGRATE project.

Programma
Bekijk het hele programma met sprekers, workshops en extra smaakmakers. Tijdens de inlooplunch en het diner is er volop gelegenheid tot netwerken.

Wij verwelkomen graag beveiligingsexperts en assetmanagers werkzaam bij netbeheerders en de energie-intensieve industrie, en professionals uit het vakgebied beveiliging en besturing. Ook young professionals en studenten in deze vakgebieden zijn uiteraard welkom.

Kosten
De kosten voor deelname zijn € 285,- (excl. 21% btw).
Voor studenten is deelname gratis.

Annuleren
Je inschrijving is alleen schriftelijk te annuleren. Bij afmeldingen binnen één week voor aanvang dan zijn we helaas genoodzaakt het volledige inschrijfbedrag te berekenen. Vanzelfsprekend kan bij verhindering altijd een vervanger van jouw inschrijving gebruik maken.
