Wat houdt het in?
Als voorzitter van een Nationaal Studie Comite (NSC) CIGRE C3 heb je een aantal taken in nationaal verband en een aantal taken in internationaal verband. In Nederland gaat het om het deelnemen aan de vergaderingen met de andere NSC-voorzitters, het leiden van de vergaderingen van het NSC C3 en natuurlijk het jaarlijks organiseren van een themadag / workshop. Verder wordt je soms uitgenodigd voor activiteiten van Next Generation Network (bijvoorbeeld een match-making event).
Internationaal ben je de vertegenwoordiger van Nederland in het internationale studiecomité C3. Dit betekent dat je deelneemt aan de jaarlijkse vergaderingen en daar de Nederlandse inbrengen en belangen vertegenwoordigd, dat je zorgt voor vertegenwoordiging van Nederland in de internationale werkgroepen, dat stukken die geschreven gereviewed worden, etc.
Hoeveel tijd kost het?
Per jaar ben je zo’n 2 tot 3 weken tijd kwijt aan het voorzitterschap van NSC C3. Ieder jaar is er een serie vergaderingen, gekoppeld aan een colloquium, wat je ongeveer een week kost. Verder ben je betrokken bij de organisatie van een (tweejaarlijks) themadag in Nederland en heb je een aantal vergaderingen met het NSC en met andere NSC-voorzitters. Ook dit kost ongeveer een week per jaar. Daarnaast zijn er nog andere, kleinere, dingen, zoals het regelen van deelnemers aan internationale werkgroepen, etc.
Wat is het profiel?
Van belang is dat je een goed overzicht hebt van het vakgebied en dat je er gedegen kennis van hebt. CIGRE C3 gaat over de drie P’s van duurzaamheid: people, planet, profit.
Het studiecomité heeft 2 hoofdtaken: 1) het vaststellen en beoordelen van de invloed van elektriciteitssystemen op het milieu en de omgeving en 2) het doen van aanbevelingen over maatregelen om de genoemde invloed te beheersen.
Het begrip invloed op omgeving wordt breed geïnterpreteerd: het betreft zowel fysieke invloed als de sociale aspecten ervan. Onderwerpen zijn onder meer broeikasgassen (bv SF6 gebruik), verontreiniging bodem en water, EM-velden, geluid(hinder), visuele aspecten, invloed op flora en fauna, maar ook stakeholder engagement, publieke acceptatie.
De scope betreft 3 technische richtingen: 1) Asset management en milieu/omgeving 2) Algemene milieu ontwikkelingen en energiebedrijven en 3) Stakeholder engagement en publieke acceptatie.
Verder is het een pré als je al ervaring hebt met (deelname aan) internationale C3 werkgroepen. Tot slot is het goed te beseffen dat je als voorzitter het belang van Nederland vertegenwoordigt en niet dat van je eigen werkgever.

The Next Generation Network (NGN) Showcase is a great opportunity for students and young professionals to present their work to leading experts from all around the world. The selected candidates from the Netherlands will have the chance to be a part of the Showcase event, as well as receive free tickets for the entire conference and support for transport and accommodation.
The CIGRE NGN Netherlands is happy to invite NGN NL members to prepare and submit their abstracts of proposed presentations for the upcoming CIGRE 2021 Session to the young@cigre.nl, by 11th of January 2021.
Topics for abstracts/presentations need to align with one of the 16 CIGRE Study Committees. Abstracts will be scored on technical content, relevance to the selected Study Committee, and presentation of the material (structure, figures, etc.).

In this survey you will be asked more generally about yourself and what Stichting CIGRE Nederland means to you and how we can support you. The gender diversity & inclusion topic will focus on the need of a Women in Engineering’s Network (WiE) in Stichting CIGRE Nederland.

Monique Krieg-Wezelenburg heeft voor haar actieve bijdrage aan studiecomite A1 de Techninal Councel Award ontvangen tijdens de E-Session 2020.
Wij feliciteren Monique van harte met deze prachtige prijs.
Vanochtend tijdens de openingsceremonie van de CIGRE e-session 2020 zijn Susana de Graaff en Henk Sanders verrast met de Honorary Member Award. Zij hebben de award ontvangen vanwege hun uitstekende en langjarige bijdrage aan de technische ontwikkeling van hun vakgebied en hun energieke en leidende rol in de studiecomitees C2 en respectievelijk C3.
We feliciteren Susana en Henk van harte met deze prachtige prijs en zijn hen dank verschuldigd voor het vele prachtige werk dat zij voor CIGRE hebben verricht.
Op 30 september organiseert CIGRE B5 haar themadag als live event bij Bar Beton in Utrecht. Als bestuur zijn we blij dat we onze events weer kunnen opstarten. Juist waar het gaat om kennis-uitwisseling én ontmoeten, waar ook nuances en signalen in gesprekken belangrijk zijn, hechten wij grote waarde aan het bijeen brengen van ons netwerk. Op gepaste afstand. Uiteraard houden wij rekening met de RIVM-maatregelen.
